Why a PDF prints more predictably than a Word file
A PDF carries its own fonts, margins and page breaks, so what you see is what gets printed. A .docx re-flows depending on the fonts installed on the machine that opens it, which is how a two-page letter becomes three pages with a stray line at the end.

Fillable forms: if you typed into form fields, flatten or “print to PDF” first, or the field contents may not appear on paper.

Annotations and comments: sticky notes and highlights are review artefacts. Some export settings print them, some do not — check the exported file, because what you upload is what gets printed.
Password-protected PDFs: remove the password first. A file that cannot be opened cannot be printed.
Color: printing is black and white unless you choose color, which is a small surcharge. A color logo prints gray by default.
Making a PDF on a phone
Both iOS and Android can export a document or a photo to PDF from the share sheet, and the scanner built into Notes (iOS) or Drive (Android) produces a far more legible PDF of a paper document than a plain photo does.

How is my file handled?
Uploads are protected in transit with TLS. Uploaded files are stored on AWS-managed block storage that is encrypted at rest, using encryption keys managed by AWS. Files from abandoned or incomplete orders are deleted automatically after 30 days.
